This would improve matchmaking a lot. Devs say there is the search range etc, but it usually takes about 3 min to find a game and by that time the search range widens so much, the probability of big ELO diffrences in one game increases a lot.
If you would add rating points like in team matchesthe probability of very good players ending up with total noobs is much smaller, since total noobs will never have a high rating. Of course it would take like a month or sth for ppl to get to the brackets they belong, since all would start on default value, but it would improve game quality a lot.
On the other hand, an experienced and skilled player sees that he has noobs on team in an instant, and thats very dissapointing. A great majority of players want ranking in mm. You wanna know why?
